UPSC Mentorship · History Optional · Online
Many sincere aspirants lose their way not for lack of effort, but because they study alone - too many sources, no one to read their answers, no one to tell them what to fix. At Clever Line, we would like to walk this path with you: a clear plan, honest feedback, and a mentor who knows how you are doing.
Where are you now?
Some are just beginning and need clear direction. Others have chosen their optional and need depth. We built two separate tracks for these two very different needs.
For those at the very beginning — from age 17.
Not endless classes on day one. Just clarity on what to read, how to plan, and steady feedback as you build the habit. Online, six months to start, and it grows with you.

Why we started
The problem is rarely a lack of hard work or material. It is the lack of a clear, personal system - what to study, how to study, how to measure progress and what to fix next. We work on it in four layers.
Where aspirants get stuck
How we help
An honest first conversation about the career, a baseline check of where you stand, a short curated source list mapped to the syllabus and PYQs, and a personal plan built around your time and pace.
Where aspirants get stuck
How we help
Active recall and short self-tests, a spaced revision schedule, current affairs linked to syllabus topics, and one plan that balances GS, Optional and Prelims for your exam date.
Where aspirants get stuck
How we help
Timed answer writing with line-by-line feedback and a second attempt, an error log after every test, and progress measured by recall, accuracy and answer quality - not hours.
Where aspirants get stuck
How we help
Weekly targets, regular mentor check-ins, focused study blocks, and support on a bad week before it becomes a break. We also help you plan attempts realistically - and suggest professional help when stress needs more than mentoring.

The Foundation Building Programme is general UPSC guidance for those starting early (17+), over about six months. History Optional is for those who have already chosen History: 10 months of classes, with personal mentorship if you want it.
Yes. You begin with a free one-week trial. If we both decide to continue, that week becomes part of your first month, so there is nothing extra to pay to begin.
Mentorship works only when both of us are committed. The trial week lets you see how we work, and lets us understand how we can help you. Then we decide together, so that the guidance stays truly personal.
Yes, both are fully online. Classes are live, with recordings you can watch again later.
Standard books and NCERTs are still useful. With personal mentorship you get study notes organised by syllabus topic, so you know what to read and what to skip.
The class fee is ₹30,000 for the full course. Installment plans are available with a small additional charge - message us and we will arrange one for you.
With mentorship, it starts early. You write answers to previous-year questions, and your mentor reads them and tells you clearly what to improve - structure, depth and content.
Tell us where you are in your preparation. We will listen, answer your questions honestly and suggest what may help you - even if that is not one of our programmes.
